Wordpress Search Result Indexing Traffic Test
In October, I have written about a wordpress hack to make your wordpress insite searches indexable using Search Meter Wordpress Plugin. Now its time to put it in test. Cherez.com, one of my everything/nothing entertaining sites in Turkish had the hack for a while, but it was restricted with robots.txt and some wordpress conditional tags. I have now decided to un-restrict it and set it free. Let’s see how much of a traffic boost it will give over time.
Site traffic is monitored using Extreme Tracking, which is a very reliable service. Here are the unique visitor counts for last 20 days of Cherez.com. Also, when you are there, take a look around, because cherez.com is one of “THE most modified wordpress website ever“.
As you can see unique visitors are about 4000/day and currently, cherez.com has only 504 pages indexed in Google. That’s what I call Search Engine Optimization.
It might take a little time for google to index some of the searches, but I will try my best to decrease the time. I am hoping to double the traffic as the indexed pages in Google increases to somewhere around 2000.
