Turk Hit Box Blog Redesign

It’s not actually finished, but I have to say that I fairly happy with it. I still have to style the footer (which I don’t have at the moment) and the comments. Other than that, I need to find a way to fill up the header, which I feel like missing. I wanted to stick to the original design of black & white, but wanted more of web 2.0 glamour! Since its not really finished, I would love to hear your praises and criticisms so that I can improve it while its hot!

Free Make Money Online Wordpress Theme Contest

I have made a wordpress theme last month for a blogger friend of mine. It was custom made according to what he said and wanted. When the theme was finished, he decided not to return my emails or my MSN messages, which if you ask me, is just not polite. Thats why I decided it to give this Wordpress Theme for free. Get 1 Free RSS Subscriber using rssHugger

rssHugger is a new RSS directory developed to help bloggers promote their blogs, and to help visitors discover new blogs that write about subjects. It was until yesterday that the rssHugger required a $10 fee to list your site, but now that its changed since the community pressure in JohnChow.com, you can get a free listing by making a post about them. Since I will be getting a listing with this post, I would like to say that the changing of the system is not fair for the ones who have already paid their $10.

Wordpress Search Result Indexing Traffic Test

In October, I have written about a wordpress hack to make your wordpress insite searches indexable using Search Meter Wordpress Plugin. Now its time to put it in test. Cherez.com, one of my everything/nothing entertaining sites in Turkish had the hack for a while, but it was restricted with robots.txt and some wordpress conditional tags. I have now decided to un-restrict it and set it free. Let’s see how much of a traffic boost it will give over time.

Traffic Boost with Bildirgec.org Frontpage

You have probably seen a lot of websites going upstream suddenly when they got dugg or stumbleuponed to the frontpage. Well, there is one site that can do the same thing, but only available to Turkish people: Bildirgec.org. My latest theme got posted on the frontpage and I received my highest daily unique visitors to date.

Cow is HACKED!

John Chow.com wannabe John Cow.com got hacked today. The page redirects to “http://johncow.com/hacked/” The hackers want $100 (only that much?). I guess they expect $100 from everyone visiting John Cow. Or is it just a game played by John Cow to get his visitors’ money? Here is a screenshot of their cool hacked page:

Turkish Carpet Web 2.0 Wordpress Theme

Here is the final release of the theme I have been working on. I hope you find the design attractive since its a bit unusual, but I believe that it shows what you can do with CSS styling. The Turkish Carpet Wordpress Theme has that warm Turkish hospitality with design elements like patterns and textures of a traditional Turkish Carpet.

Do you want to make your site look better on the iPhone with one line of HTML?

You just need to add a <meta> tag that lets the iPhone know how wide to display the initial page and believe it or not, but it won’t affect how your sites look!

Increase your CTR with CSS :after pseudo-element

Everyone wants higher CTR on their landing pages. This is why some of the forums are filled with people looking for high CTR landing pages, but innovation is at its minimum. People find copying easier and the ones who do not copy and create their own work lead the way. I did my own research and found that using after elements on links resulted in higher CTR ratio throughout my entire money making sites.
