So you switched to Feedburner RSS

You have signed up for Feedburner. Changed your RSS feed to Full Feed RSS and built a large crowd of RSS readers on your site.Then you place the counter on your site to show off. But what have you forgotten to do? You wouldn’t believe how many popular probloggers make this simple mistake! I guess even probloggers make mistakes sometimes..

WordPress uses a simple php script to call for the RSS url for your blog:

<link rel=”alternate” type=”application/rss+xml” title=”<?php bloginfo(‘name’); ?> RSS Feed” href=”<?php bloginfo(‘rss2_url’); ?>” />

Well, you need to change the RSS feed url on that line after you have changed to Feedburner RSS service. You might be showing of a lot less on your feedburner counter.

Actually .. If you are using Feedsmith plug in, yourdomain/feed/ will redirect to feedburner.com/yourfeed ..

And btw .. That theme looks kewl .. Waiting for it ..

Kewl theme, but I think your post is quite off, every single one of those blogs you mentioned aboe uses a redirect to go to feedburner.

I would venture a guess as to say it provides a more accurate number than simply chaing the RSS url in the header. To test it out just go to their site, and visit their rss url and it will go to the feedburner address.
