Blog Income - November

I have talked about my stand at implementing different number of advertisement network in my Blog Income - September & October .

I am not planning to use different advertisement networks like many other make money online blogs, since my purpose is not to make my blog a daily job. Since adsense is stable and trustable, I would like to stict to Adsense all the time.

But I guess this will change since my blog earnings seem to take a downfall.

Blog Income - November

But there is always the fact that I have recently changed my blog’s design and can not possibly determine the effects in a short period of time. I have more adsense units with the new design and I am hoping to increase my earnings on the next month. I am thinking of implementing adsense link units, but to me they kill the overall user experience. Whenever I see a blog with a lot of link units, I tend to feel “cold” about it. A blog should not say “I am making money out of you!” rightaway.

Blog Income - November adsense

I guess I will have to find a way to increase my earning. I believe the current Adsense units are implemented brilliantly :). I would love to hear what you guys have to say & I am open for new ideas.

I am seriously considering using Azoogle Ads or Commission Junction, but since a large part of my visitors are outside US, I hight doubt that this will generate a reasonable income. What do you guys think?

Its probably Google quality score, although you are running a high-quality blog! Congrats on my part!

I think that people are getting more and more ad-blind and reluctant to click on ads, because they've seen it all before and it just gets in the way of what you want to do.It's too bad that a good paying system that is only concerned with ad impressions rather than clicks isn't available ie. like tv commercials, where they are just happy to have people watch the ad, no 'clicking' necessary

Your ad placement seems all right, but I must say that I am not an expert :)
I can suggest placing link ad unit at the top of your blog.  I use link ads on my blog and for me it performs 10 times better than regular ad units. But overall ads on my blog don't make as much money as they make on yours. :(

Good luck with your income coal..

It's probably because i write in English. I really hate link units, and doubt that anyone one will click them. I will try to add couple of link units next month to try my chance.

Here is my $.02,

I agree, you did a good job of blending your ads t o match your content. But i think your earnings troubles stem from two other problems: Your placement and Ad Topicss

Placement: While you did a nice job of blending, you still don't have any ads on your home page. And nothing "above the fold". While i understand that you may be hesitant to do so because you don't want to be "spammy" (I hate blogs that have HUGE adsense usints before their posts so you don't even see the post above the fold") The trick is to find a happy medium. Try adding ads between your 1st and 2dn (or maybe 2nd-3rd) post on your home page. ry and format them like posts.  Make sure to track it for 2 weeks and see if it helps.

Ad topics: Since you have a"ramblings' blog it will be very hard to get targeted ads . Think about it. If you had an SEO blog, all your ads would be about SEO, if you had a blog about "coffee" all you r ads would be about coffee. Those ads would get cicks because users would be interested.

looking at this page here are the titles of the ads i see: "They're all scams" "$1000 Day -Starting Now", /"Free Leads". Those ads are not related to anything i am reading about…

Maybe you should try CJ (comission junction" and write product reviews in your blog and try and earn from that. I do that on my blog and i earn a decent amount. Just be sure to be hnest and not push junk. Try and write about stuff your udience will like.

CJ has a lot of web hosting offers. I know hostgator pays out $100 a lead. maybe write a review on their hosting service (i use them, they are really good).

Also, make sure to cloak your affiliate links so people don't rthink you're only posting for the money. if you are using wordpress, check out this plugin: http://w-shadow.com/blog/2007/07/28/link-cloaking-plugin-for-wordpress/

hope that heps some!!!

Also, i see you are using Half banners  on your homepage. Try using the 250 x 250 or the aquare one one size larger i think they get much better CTR…
